Sandberg, the COO of facebook. she is soon to own $1.6 billion. she is the role model for women in business and technology. she has been in rise for her recent talk where she addressed facebook as the platform for providing the empowerment of women in the technology sector. she arouses the female to foot on the technology sector. She acknowledges how women have been active in this tech world due to facebook.
sandberg’s philosophy is
“keep your foot on the gas pedal and aim high”.
this news has provided a great platform for sandberg to recognize her fans.
Sylvia Ann Hewlett, president of the Center for Talent Innovation, a research organization on work-life policy, and director of theGender and Policy Program,Columbia University says,
“I’m a huge fan of her accomplishments and think she’s a huge role model in some ways, but I think she’s overly critical of women because she’s almost implying that they don’t have the juice, the chutzpah, to go for it.”
when she joined facebook, it had only 70million users. now with her effort, it has gained $1 billion profit and $3.7 billion revenue. She states that 62% women activity is in facebook. 71% of daily fan activity is of females. again women have 8% more facebook friends than men. It has definitely aroused women participation in technology and their initiation. With her effort more advertisers and profit has been initiated providing more benefit to facebook.

“It’s no secret that women are an incredibly powerful market segment, buying online and making decisions in the digital world many times a day.”
