As we know fring is the market leader in terms of Voip telephony in smart phone as last December, Fring updated its iPhone app to support one-way video call as the earlier versions of the iPhone have only one camera on the back but its now updated and-this update for iPhone 4 that supports two-way video calls.

iPhone_Evo_Video

that actually means Us can use this fancy new front-facing camera for video calls from the beach or from the mountain top (on 3G or Wifi) to your friends on whatever mobile phone they have. So even if they don’t have an iPhone 4 yet, you can see their pretty faces ..isn’t that great?.

This means users can now don’t need any carried with 3G for video chat with their friends and family and now as in the same way as advertised by Apple in FaceTime. Good thing is that it works over 3G also and is cross compatible to other voip networks such as Skype as well other OS platforms such as Android and Nokia’s Symbian which is a new breakthrough so which will lead to a whole new possibilities…

The app now supports multitasking in iOS 4 so users will now can run the app in the background and Also a new social stream and a smarter address book has been added in this updated app from fring.

Finally, Apple's iPhone 4 catches up. Fring has been doing 2 way calls on mid-priced Nokia phones since last year!

Now, if only we can stay connected with this iPhone…that external antenna is not only bad for 3G reception…but can impact WIFI as well.

IMO.

I have used iphone, ordinary touch tone phone as well as usb device. Which will also support Video Calls. Some time you have signal problem even if you are sitting under their antenna.
