Google Nexus will now got the support to run Google Earth smoothly, Motorola Droid now can support running Google Earth application only with your upgraded Android 2.1 OS. But Droid Eris and myTouch 3G phones are still now able to run Google Earth Smoothly and Google Blames its due to the lack of hardware floating-point acceleration for this.
Google team from its official Earth blog on Google Earth Blog announced that that all phones that run on Android 2.1 will be able to enjoy all Google Earth features, but other phones that that lack hardware floating-point acceleration will not be able to do this and its very Unfortunate that Droid Eris and myTouch 3G phones lack hardware floating-point acceleration so it wont be able to run Google Earth application.
