The Ultrasn0w 2.1 is just few hours away from release which will unlock all the basebands for iPhone 3G and iPhone 3Gs and seems the unlock for iPhone 4 will take some time for base band/Modem firmware 0.1.59.00 and this unlock will also work for modem firmware/ baseband 05.15.04 and 05.14.02 as well so folks have your breathe for some more hours..This release version will be Ultrasn0w 1.2 which will be used to unlock iPhone 3Gs an iphone 3G only.
This news came as a confirmation from a tweet from MucsleNerd who is the key member in developing this tool..

If you are a Iphone users you have to wait for next release.
But This release will make happy to all the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3Gs users who mistakely or upgraded via itunes to latest iOS 4.2.1 or iOS 4.1 which will automatically preserve your baseband and if you ipgraded it in iPhone 4 you will still need to wait for a while becaue the unlock for modem firmware/baseband 02.10.04 is still in developing stage and seems soon the release will be made…

same here too 4.1 with 5.14.02. done some reading, i think it doesnt support this but the workround is: "It turns out that the very first iPad firmware 3.2.2 has baseband version 06.15.00 still vulnerable to AT+XAPP. from turkey. redsnow still not there. im so confused myself, i dnt kno if should use 4.2 or 4.1 firmware for redsnow. i will try 4.1 first then 4.2 after a while when things are goin right. in the mean time you should download the required firmwares (they r quite big if you have slow connection. i downloaded these:

i tried to update to 4.2.1 but it did NOT(a really big NOT) like it at all, took me 23534634633643 ways to get it back to working state. if anyone knows, can it be done with 4.2.1? i mean if i update via itunes then use redsnow..? thnx
