Finally Apple has officially announced and previewed the iPhone OS 4.0 during a live-event at it’s campus in Cupertino. this latest firmware comes with lot more to give. and the new OS for the iPhone platform is no less than magical.
In this version It seems apple has worked really worked hard and over a 100+ new features have been announced for the iPhone OS 4.0, but only 7 of the main features were previewed during the Apple which they call as they ‘Tenpole” features.and we have tried to manage some of them below
Feature #1 – Multitasking: This will fully support the multitasking means multi apps can be run at a time and can be shifted using a Dock there.and also the background audio, voIP and location.
Feature #2 – Folders: Now The users will now be able to organize their apps into intelligent folders with your desired name for your easy ness and which raises the app-limitation bar from 180 to 2160 on the iPhone.
Feature #3 – Unified Inbox: All email inboxes are now unified into one vertical grid.
Feature #4 – iBooks: The app will now be available to users on the iPhone.
Feature #5 – Enterprise: Great new features for Enterprise users.
Feature #6 – Game Center: This is a social gaming network much like Xbox Live from Microsoft which will allow users to find players using the in-built Matchmaker.
Feature #7 – iAd: This is completely new feature where from Apple’s in-phone advertising platform that delivers rich-content ads from right within an app on the iPhone.
These all are the most talked features of its new version but there are still more features for this Iphone OS 4.0 platform but the sad part is all the iphone users wont be able to take enjoy from this feature because it will support only the Iphone 3Gs and Itouch 3g.
