Opera 10.53 Beta for Linux and FreeBSD is now released and can be downloaded

Opera is self proclaimed as worlds fastest browser has now released a new beta version for Linux and FreeBSD platform today. Opera claims that Opera 10.53 beta features better KDE and Gnome desktop integration. And also They added that they believe this new release will now get maximum exposure as the schools and institutions are now free licensed to install Opera on distribution repositories.

Accordint to Jon von Tetzchner, co-founder for Opera Software said,

Linux has always been a priority at Opera, as many people within our own walls are devoted users. It was important for us in this release to make alterations to our terms of usage, in order to make Opera even easier to distribute on Linux.”

  • Now enabled with Carakan JavaScript engine and Vega graphics library to make this browser more than 8 times faster
  • Enhanced Private browsing
  • Zoom in and zoom out web pages using new zoom slider and also view controls
