Apple brought iPhone 4S with the feature which turned everyone On with SIRI but according to Microsoft’s Craig Mundie told that  SIRI was nothing special the reason behind was that they told they had similar software over a year ago! but why was it now successful and Siri was? The andswer for this question was  Marketing, of course. This is what he had to say

People are infatuated with Apple announcing it. It’s good marketing, but at least as the technological capability you could argue that Microsoft has had a similar capability in Windows Phones for more than a year, since Windows Phone 7 was introduced.

He didn’t stopped there as he even mentioned that  Siri isn’t even about the Voice Recognition, it is what the iPhone does with it.  The voice recognition is outsourced to Nuance’s engine. The Microsoft Phone barely made it to the point where you could make sense out of what its engine produced which was a clear sentence he told So there was some comparison that was being made between the teo services which we got a video uploaded but which one is better no one has the answer the reason? SIRI is best but Microsoft got this a year ago ! .

If you were Microsoft, would you rather Mundie be so out of touch with the technology he is talking about that he can’t tell the difference, or that he’s just flat out shamelessly lying?

Next generation iphone in 2012 is expected to have NFC technology. It is the near field communication technology. enabled devices. However, it was highly expected that iphone4s would include this feature. But the launch of iphone 4s brought also the sadness with the unavailability  of NFC. Currently NFC supporting devices are launched by the companies like android,symbian,blackberry and bada. But only about 10% users are available. If iphone in 2012 supports NFC, it is expected to increase the users to 50%.

Following conflicting rumors about whether the iPhone 4S would include near field communication (NFC) technology (rumors that were eventually decided in the negative), Digitimes reportsthat Apple is indeed one of the vendors still expected to introduce NFC-enabled operating system software (and thus hardware) in 2012. Apple’s inclusion of NFC in next year’s iPhone would appear to come as part of a tipping point for the technology, with the technology’s prevalence in the smartphone industry set to increase from about 10% to over 50% in the span of two to three years.

As Android, Symbian, BlackBerry and Bada have supported NFC (near field communication) functions and Microsoft and Apple plan to make Windows Phone and iOS support NFC in 2012, the proportion of NFC-enabled smartphones will quickly increase from less than 10% currently to over 50% in two to three years, according to Taiwan-based smartphone makers.

NFC standardization issues have been one problem slowing adoption of the technology, but with 45 wireless carriers including AT&T and Verizon now signed on to a SIM-based standard, those issues may be reaching a resolution.

Back-and-forth rumors about whether NFC would appear in the 2011 version of the iPhone led to considerable uncertainty about where Apple stood on the technology, with The New York Times noting in March that NFC would be a part of a “coming iteration” of the iPhone without specifying a product generation. By mid-May, Bernstein analysts correctly predicted not only that NFC would not be included in Apple’s forthcoming iPhone hardware but that the new iPhone would be an iPhone 4S and not a radically redesigned iPhone 5.

In growing concern over privacy in net, there is a worldwide web consortium(w3c) which has designed a tool for the work of “do not track”. Respecting the privacy of net users, the browser will not be able to tract the details of the users in sometime. Through this tool, the users will get a warning either to turn this privacy on or off. The firms like Apple, adobe, facebook, google, microsoft, electronic frontierfoundation,stanford university and other more than 8 firms excluding the above mentioned firms are involved. this work is to be started in the mid 2012.

This is mainly taking place as the level user details are being tracked. All browsers are to be made to follow this security and standarize these protocols at all levels to be privacy friendly.However, they have said that this tool cant be forced upon to the browsers. The major software specification are to less track the websites as authorized by the browser settings. Yesterday we published tat Samsung too will pay the royalties to Microsoft for using Android OS into their system so how much does Microsoft earns form other Android smartphone manufacturers which must be huge because one of the largest smartphone manufacturers like HTC,Samsung pays these royalties that’s the reason Microsoft has been investing in the research department but the number of revenue it does collect has no any fixed data but thanks to the . Goldman Sachs analysts.

Goldman Sachs analystson Thursday estimated that the software company will pull in approximately $444 million in the coming year 2012 which comes from the licensing deals made with various Android vendors such as HTC and Samsung which has a rate of  royalties of $3-$6 per Android device sold they make for these phones . Asymco’s Horace Dediu estimated in August that Microsoft collected around $21 million in revenue from Windows Phone licenses in the second quarter because HTC might alone pay about $60 million from Android royalties over the same period to Microsoft and since Samsung is coming into the way to pay these royalties the snum will be huge and very high.

If you have are about to buy any smartphone or tablet computers running google android platform, your money would be handed over to the microsoft as royalty. It is recently decided that now Samsung has to pay as royalty to the Microsoft for their sale on their tablet computers and smartphone with google android platform as per the new patent cross-licensing deal.

Now Samsung and Microsoft agree to  cooperate the on development and marketing of Windows Phone, the Microsoft mobile device operating system software.

Andy Lees, president of Microsoft’s Windows Phone Division says that,

“Microsoft and Samsung see the opportunity for dramatic growth in Windows Phone, and we’re investing to make that a reality

“Microsoft believes in a model where all our partners can grow and profit based on our platform.”

Hong won-pro, Samsung’s executive vice president of global product strategy said,

“the two firms would continue to bring the latest innovations to the mobile industry”.

Though all the terms of this new patent cross licensing deal are not publicized, this Samsung’s capacity to android phone marketing would be a great support to Microsoft.

As you must know Microsoft released Windows 8 Developers preview which has been released and we have already posted how to install windows 8 it via Flash Drive and the mail part is the Windows 8 boots in just 8 seconds which is what made us surprised but what you think what are the difference in windows 7 and Windows 8 thanks to some people from  Lifehacker who has  installed Windows 8 and performed some tests on Windows 8 and then with windows 7 to find out exactly how much it is faster than Windows 7.

Note: As with all our Windows 8 coverage this week, this is all based on the developer preview of Windows. At the time of this writing, we still have a year before Windows 8 is officially released, so things are subject to change, but these are our preliminary tests of the fledgling operating system.

These were the tests which were performed  with the two computers which has the same configuration of the Hardware so these tests were performed an (overclocked) 3.8 GhZ i7 machine which has 6GB of RAM, a 2TB hard drive, an Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT and then connected to the internet over Ethernet at a maximum speed of 20mbps so here are the details which you can see .

If you believe the stats we got from the source then Windows 8 beat Windows 7 every which makes it faster and much less power consuming  in every aspect which make the Windows powered computers boot faster work faster and of course make it available to most of the computers .
