You can send free unlimited text messages via Wi-Fi or 3G from iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to anyone with one of those devices running iOS 5 or above. Isnt this cool? So, basically imessaging aids in facilitating in easily conveying messages.
How can imessage be used and helpful?/imessage usage
Now the query remains on how to use imessage. Well its very simple. All you have to do is through message app, you can send text, photos, videos, locations and contacts. Just like BBM in Blackberry is this iMessage. You can even enjoy with group message. Now you can even track your messages with delivery receipts and optional read receipts, and see when someone’s typing.
Before using imessage, things to keep in mind are:
- Unregistered users names are in red colour in iMessage
- Enable / disable iMessage from Setting app under Messages
- If any message can’t be sent via iMessage, it is sent automatically using SMS service.
- SMS messages is in green bubbles while iMessage is in blue bubbles
