The Ubisoft catalogue in Game Pass

In January 2022, Ubisoft announced that Rainbox Six Extraction would be released on day one in the Xbox Game Pass. The publisher took the opportunity to confirm the arrival of the Ubisoft+ service on Microsoft consoles. At the time, we imagined a partnership similar to that of EA and its EA Play catalogue. Indeed, Electronic Arts' catalogue of games has been available to Game Pass players for some time.

Since Ubisoft's announcement at the beginning of the year, nothing more had filtered out. However, according to the Twitter account ALumia_Italia, an announcement is close. The account found this information by digging into Xbox data.

Game as a service, Microsoft's new focus

Of course, this information should be taken with a grain of salt. The timing is consistent with the French publisher's participation at Gamescom. Especially since Ubisoft has been generous in recent months, offering subscribers to the Xbox service some of its games, including Far Cry 5.

Microsoft's service allows you to enjoy the latest big games for a monthly subscription fee. Blockbusters arrive regularly, with recent releases including Death Stranding on PC and Midnight Fight Express on all platforms.

Microsoft's teams are working to expand the games in the Game Pass. This includes buying up big publishers such as Activision Blizzard. Moreover, this agreement is still being validated.
