A well optimized PC version

Before anything else, let's point out that the original game was released on PS4 in 2018. So you won't need a war machine to run Spider-Man Remastered.

What it takes to make Spider-Man Remastered run on PC Config

Basically, if Death Stranding, God of War or Final Fantasy VII Remake run on your bike, you'll have no problem with this new port... At least without Ray Tracing.

As an example, I'm running the game in 1440p at 60 FPS with my Ryzen 7 and my old RX 5700, which is really not bad at all. On the other hand, an RX 6800 XT or an RTX 3070 is needed to achieve 4K.

And if you want to add Ray Tracing to that, you'd better get a big fat RTX 3080 or RX 6900. In summary, I would say that the famous Insomniac Games title has been rather well optimised since it runs without any problem on the most modest configurations and more if affinities.

Exclusives don't last forever

Having never finished it on PS4, I was looking forward to seeing Spider-Man Remastered come to PC. Especially since this version comes with all its DLC, is compatible with the PS5's DualSense controller and works wonderfully on ultra-slim screens (unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake, which I was very sad about).

Add to this a number of graphical options to get the best out of each machine and you have a very convincing port. If you have a PC and haven't had the chance to play this game yet, I can only advise you to do so. Spider-Man Remastered is available on Steam and on the Epic Game Store for 60 euros since August 12th. And to find Miles Morales, you'll have to wait until next autumn. To be continued...
