3 ways to solve, fix iPhone stuck on black screen after iOS 16 update

As explained in the introduction, if after deploying iOS 16 on your iPhone, it still gets stuck on a black screen: don't panic immediately, there are different methods to restart your phone.

Method 1: Restart your iPhone

The first method is the easiest: you can force a restart of your iPhone by using the key combination provided for this purpose:

  •     Press and quickly release the volume up button.
  •     Press and quickly release the volume down button.
  •     Immediately press and hold the Power button until the iPhone restarts.

Method 2: Fixing system errors with Tenorshare ReiBoot

If rebooting is not enough, then you can go through a diagnostic software such as Tenorshare ReiBoot.  You can download it from the official website

Once the application is installed, it is quite easy as you just need to be guided:

  • Choose the type of repair
  • Start the repair

This is the only method capable of really repairing your iPhone without launching a restore that will make you lose all its content and also the image with the latest version of iOS

Method 3: Restore iPhone in iTunes to fix the black screen problem

As always, it is possible to restore your iPhone completely via the iTunes backup you made earlier. With this method, your iPhone will be exactly as it was before.

Obviously, you will find your iPhone in the previous version of the operating system, but at least you will be able to use it again.

Conclusions

If you have software problems with your iPhone, it's never really a big deal: you can force a reboot, use proven diagnostic tools or simply restore it to a previous state. That's the strength of Apple's smartphone: the tools are as effective as they are easy to use.
